The great Indian cooking - The Spice Club

Posted February 3, 2015 by ErnestBalmer

It all happened because of love for food especially the North Indian Punjabi food which I mastered from my mother who is an expert at weaving magic through different spices and can cook mouth watering dishes in no time.

When we talk about food and cooking and Indian food and cuisine is left out, this can never happen as it is one of the people’s most favorite food irrespective of the place they stay on this globe. To make India cuisine more popular and so that more and more people can enjoy and relish its taste The Spice Club takes this much further and has introduced traditional Indian cookery classes to spread the flavor everywhere. At Spice Club home style Indian food is taught to participants so that they can cook a variety of Indian cuisines at their comfort and enjoy the taste.

The Spice Club is known to be Manchester's first secret supper club which serves the best of Indian food to its guests and serve as an alternate to restaurant style dining. It is more of a social experience where people from different walk of life from their busy life come and enjoy the great India curry flavor at The Spice Club. Guests here enjoy different food and moreover enjoy the experience of delicious home cooked Indian food and also enjoy the conversation with each other.

It all happened because of love for food especially the North Indian Punjabi food which I mastered from my mother who is an expert at weaving magic through different spices and can cook mouth watering dishes in no time. At The Spice Club, we ensure we keep the tradition alive and make all the dishes using locally sources ingredients though we are an Indian cookery school at Birmingham. Here each meal consists of soft drink, starter, main dish [including 4-5 dishes of vegetables with Basmati rice and chapatti], dessert and chai. Though the menu is different at all the events and we ensure that we offer a great variety of Indian food to our guests in order to enhance their experience of Indian food.

To add more to our guests food experience we also encourage as well as welcome them to join us in the live cooking sessions at our kitchen which is an amazing experience in itself. This makes them get close to the Indian food and the cooking process and helps them to get to know more about the Indian culture, spice and methods. A lot of our guests at The Spice Club are very inquisitive about the Indian Garam Masala Spices and we go ahead and explain them as well as show them the ingredients of Garam masala and other popular items like Indian Tamarind Imli Sauces or the exciting and attractive Indian Green Mint Chutney.

So, it is an enriching and a different experience of food here at The Spice Club and as we always mention we bring the food on the table and you bring your questions on Indian food and we would love to talk to you about it. To keep the session and momentum going we invite donations to keep this club and format grow and you may check out details over our website spiceclubmanchester.com/. We would like to share that a percentage of all the donations goes to charity.
