KEA: First round of medical/dental Counseling begins

Students who have qualified NEET 2018 and registered with the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to seek admission in medical and dental colleges in the state can select their seats from Saturday evening.

 
Students who have qualified NEET 2018 and registered with the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to seek admission in medical and dental colleges in the state can select their seats from Saturday evening. The authority hosted the seat matrix on its website.
As many as 5920 medical seats have been allocated to the state for first round of counseling in 48 colleges, including 3390 government quota seats and 1808 private seats. And for dental, students have choices from 38 colleges which have offered 2754 seats including 928 government seats and 1310 private seats.

The option entry process will be available till 5 pm on Monday, July 10. Officials said that after selecting options, it will publish the final seat allotment.
Meanwhile, DGHS has started the process of second round of all-India counselling for NEET students also. The first round was completed on June 22. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) is bargaining for seats to be shared by the eight deemed medical/dental varsities to admit Karnataka domicile students who have registered through KEA.
