Chic Classicism: Drummonds’ distinctive style is clean, crisp and luxurious, perfect for both contemporary and period settings. Inspired by period pieces and traditional manufacturing, Drummonds produces sumptuous bathroom products with a solidity and integrity rarely seen nowadays. But these are not slavish copies: they are designed around the complexities of modern plumbing and an ‘ideal’ of classic English bathroom style; rich with white enamel, marble, polished metal and mirror glass.

Craft Skills: It takes Drummonds several weeks to make a single bath; a traditional process involving casting the raw metal, shotblasting and enamelling with the lengthy dry-frit process which gives a snow white, incredibly durable enamel surface. Each bath is then finished to individual requirements; hand polishing, copper cladding or hand painting in the client’s chosen colour. A numbered record is kept of every stage of production. Equally, its brassware is precision-cast using the traditional ‘lost wax’ process.

Classic British Style: There is a reason behind every process, because real quality lasts. To achieve this unique level of quality, Drummonds set up its own foundry and finishing plant in Poland, as well as specialist brass casting workshops and a vitreous china factory. It also commissions English craftsmen to produce accessories.

Vitreous China: From traditional high level cisterns to magnificent double vanity stands and pretty cloakroom basins, Drummonds design and manufacture their beautiful vanity basins, loos and bidets in their own vitreous china factory. They use the traditional manual processes and English china clay from Staffordshire formed in moulds which give exceptional clarity of detail.

All in the detail: Fine brassware speaks volumes in many ways, from its weight, shape and detailing to its precision engineering. Drummonds produces a wide range of classic brassware; including classic taps, towel warmers, basin stands and plunger wastes. Made from solid brass, they are available in several finishes in collections ranging from facsimiles of important period pieces to more contemporary styles.
