Dr. Byron A Brown is an Attending Consultant for Southland Hospital. Part of his job is to see patients and help them with their various Obstetric and Gynecological problems while helping them prevent issues in the future. He has worked with many expectant mothers, menopausal women, and everyone in between during his career as an OBGYN. Dr. Brown joined Southland Hospital in 2012 after ten years of working with patients at his own private practice based in Laurens, South Carolina.

Dr. Byron A Brown has restarted his career at Southland Hospital, where he can still work with patients while teaching the next generation of local Gynecologists and Obstetricians. Dr. Brown has already seen much promise in many of the healthcare professionals he has trained during his time at Southland Hospital. Dr. Brown seeks to pass what he has learned through the years on to new doctors and physicians who can continue his work with their own patients one day.

Dr. Byron A Brown is currently working with several doctors who are training as residents at Southland Hospital in the OBGYN field. His training has helped them improve their understanding of women’s reproductive systems and how to fix common problems while working with them in heading off uncommon ones. Dr. Brown believes in his abilities to teach and train new doctors in his field because of his experience as an OBGYN working at his own office in South Carolina.

Dr. Byron A Brown sees the potential in this new wave of doctors who have come to learn from him at Southland. He hopes that he can instill the same sense of duty and responsibility in them that he feels about his own work. Dr. Brown also seeks to impart his knowledge of Obstetrics to as many new doctors as possible. He believes that residency training is extremely important in the development of skilled doctors who go above and beyond, who are not only knowledgeable in the field of medicine, but who truly care about their patients.
