Whenever given the opportunity, Dion Abadi tries to give back to his community and namely to children. One of his favorite organizations is Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, which hosts the “Cheers for Children” event each year. At last year’s event, Dion Abadi surprised the event holders with his expensive and beautiful donation of artwork for the children’s wing of one of the local hospitals. With his donation was also a large check that he got many of his colleagues to contribute to. It did not take much convincing when he explained what the event was and who it was for.

“If there is anyone I want to help, it is the children of the greater Atlanta area. The foundation does so much work for families who have children with serious illnesses and those who cannot afford proper treatments. As a business owner and member of this community, I wanted to help,” says Dion Abadi. His donation certainly helps put smiles on many people’s faces as they walk down the hallway in the hospital. And the financial donation will go a long way.

“Dion Abadi is such a support to us here at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. He goes the extra mile in his charity and does so from the heart,” said the director.

When Dion Abadi was a child, he suffered some health problems and always remembered hearing the stress in his parents’ voices when they were talking about money. He was lucky enough to get better and stronger, but always recalled that feeling. Dion Abadi has made it a point as a successful business owner to reach out to these organizations and make donations that matter.

“The soft spot Dion Abadi has for children – not only his own – is what fuels his generosity,” says his wife. The roar of the applause at “Cheers for Children” for Dion Abadi’s charity was thanks enough for the prestigious businessman. He thinks of his own children and is so thankful that they are healthy. But he also worries about what he would do if something were to happen to them. He hopes that someone, like him, would be there to help if he needed it.
