It is a trap hit with a disconsolate beat. Escaleraa's seventh production was released on april 13th and it's entitled “Kódigos”. In short, it is a musical experiment that shows off his artistic versatility and sharpness in the urban setting. The piece defies the light and festive clichés of the urban genre to convey a more socially inclined write-up, based on his autobiographical experiences.

The clamor from his hometown in Humacao, Puerto Rico, lingers throughout the verses. After all, the 18-year-old revelation is all about artistic integrity. Escaleraa believes that integrity is measured, not just with genuine compositions but also with authenticity and respect for his own origins.
The musical piece is a tribute or homage to close experiences in its development. But it is also a download and even a kind of manifest destiny. “One of the theme lines reads ‘friends who did time because of another who betrayed them…’ and it references a friend who served prison time. It's a misfortune occurrence, deserving to be exposed within this genre”, argued the artist.
No apologies for the crime. Luis Yadiel Escalera Vellón, AKA “Escaleraa” does not seek to dignify crime or excuse it. But the reggaeton artist recognizes his own humanity and sympathizes with the mistakes of others.
The cadence in his words also carries critiques, complaints, and deliberations about those who violate the 'street code'. With harsh accusations, Escaleraa questions disloyalty in life, a stain found between friends, couples, and even neighbors.
“Kódigos” is his most recent promotional single, becoming a turning point after the encouraging public reception of his hit “Famosa”. “Kódigos” was written in a trice, under a blissful conjugation of inspiration and desire to show different nuances in his pen.
The musical beat was inherited by the talented YouTuber, composer, and music producer "PANA YMB". The base track caught up Escaleraa so much that it kept it faithful to the original version. The single has the approval of his manager, Jun Aponte, and the production company Aponte Entertainment.
