Dr. Oregonin Co., Ltd., a faculty-founded startup from Kangwon National University (CEO: Choi Seon-eun), was honored with a Minister of SMEs and Startups Award during the ‘Gangwon Startup Week’ event held on November 6th at the university’s Chuncheon Campus Startup Cube.
Dr. Oregonin was the only faculty-founded company to receive this prestigious award, recognized for its contributions to the local startup ecosystem through innovative technology development and commercialization. The award acknowledges individuals and entities that have made significant contributions to fostering entrepreneurship.
This recognition comes after Dr. Oregonin received a certificate of excellence for industry-academia collaboration from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education in July, marking achievements acknowledged by both the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
CEO Choi Seon-eun stated, “Dr. Oregonin has recently been selected for several national funding projects, achieving continuous growth. Moving forward, we aim to enhance our technological capabilities and secure successful investments to develop individually recognized health supplements using Gangwon’s indigenous tree resources.”
