After the formation of the new Government this year it is said that BRIM was kept aside and BSH (Living Aid) scheme was introduced. BSH reportedly is a renamed version of BRIM.

As per the reports, the BSH or BRIM aims to lessen the intensifying cost of living. To receive BRIM support it has been revealed that individuals need to be a citizen of Malaysia as well that one needs to reside in Malaysia. It has now been revealed that the eligibility criteria for families with household income less than RM2000 will be RM1000, household income between RM2001-3000 will be RM750, and household income RM3001-4000 will be RM500. In addition, it is said that the scheme offers RM120 to children 18 years and below. This is reported to be limited to 4 children only.

The BSH was active since June 6, 2018, and till today countless Malaysians are alleged to be eligible to receive the scheme support. Even though the livelihood assistance is revealed to be eligible for Malaysian citizens BSH is reported to be not eligible for Student Discount Debit Card recipients. This is said to be for the reason that only qualified recipients are eligible for the subsistence. It is also reported that a thorough review of every single application will be undertaken by IRB. Applications with fraud or misuse of information by the applicants will be rejected without delay according to the reports. It is informed that the accepted accounts will be credited the Living Aid subsidy on designated dates. An approval voucher reportedly will be issued to those recipients who do not have bank accounts. It is reported that failed applicants can make an appeal for the second time. For more information please visit https://bantuansarahidup.my/
