Cannon Raceway, the UK’s leading indoor karting circuit, is hosting this year’s Red Bull Kart Fight Championships. Qualifying sessions run from June until October 2012 and are open to all drivers. Whether you think of yourself as the next Lewis Hamilton or the racer who stalls on the starting line, kart fight qualifying is a great way to get out of the house and have some fun.

Each racer needs to collect four race print outs and the top 40 drivers with the fastest average lap time will reach the regional semi finals, held at Cannon Raceway on Sunday 7th October. The top two drivers from the semis will be invited to race in the National Red Bull Finals held on 27th October at Buckmore Park in Chatham, Kent. The UK winner will then jet set off to a top secret track in Italy and represent Great Britain in the Red Bull World Finals on the 8th and 9th December.

The top three UK finalists will also be invited to the Red Bull F1 Centre in Milton Keynes where you can go behinds the scenes of the world of Formula 1 and ride in the racing simulator.

The Kart Fight is a fantastic event that gives ordinary people a taste of what professional motorsport is all about. Last year 8 of our drivers went through to the finals. It was a fantastic show of talent from our area and it would be great to send a large number of local drivers through to the finals again this year. This really is the X factor of motorsport.”
