Joplin, MO, September 02, 2013 -- Good News Productions, International (GNPI), a faith-based ministry empowering global missions individuals and programs through culturally acceptable media, announced a total of $55,131 was raised as a result of the "GNPI Classic 100 Go-Kart Rally." This was the second annual venue raising awareness for GNPI’s Solar Kit ministry. Held in August at Scottsdale, Arizona’s Octane Raceway, the adrenaline driven, team-racing event served as a strategic funding vehicle to raise funds to acquire, assemble, and distribute Solar Kits for a worldwide audience.

Driving participants volunteered their time, networking with marketplace peers and church affiliates, receiving sponsorships in the form of tax deductable donations to support the worthwhile cause. For its part, GNPI has committed to designate 100% of the net proceeds to the delivery of the Solar Kits to foreign lands.

"We look at this annual event as a way to accelerate Global evangelism through means of the Solar Kit, a green energy delivery mechanism leveraging the sun to honor the Son," said Mike Schrage, Executive Director at GNPI. "We want to extend our sincerest thanks to all of the drivers, volunteers, donors and sponsors who made this event possible and for their personal support. The real winners are the missionaries with boots on the ground that will be rapidly equipped with new tools to enhance their important work."

About the Solar Kit:
The Solar Kit was designed to take the Gospel to remote lands, desolate villages, and underprivileged schools with no electricity and historically high illiteracy rates. Through the use of flexible solar panels, ruggedized battery packs, micro-projection technologies, and embedded media, the Solar Kit draws hundreds of people per showing using visual messaging with local languages and customs. To date, GNPI has helped place more than 200 Solar Kits in 38 countries allowing Christian teachers to reach the “The Last Mile” of the unreached taking their ministry to a new level.
