Dr. Somdutt Prasad, a world-renowned ophthalmologist, is invited as a faculty at the 'Celebrate Retina Celebrate Life' conference to be held at Sahara Star Hotel, Mumbai, from May 15 to 17, 2015.

The conference will be hosted and co-organized by AdityaJyot Institute of Vision Science And Research (an academic, R&D unit of AdityaJyot Eye Hospital), Retina Foundation and Retina Eye Care Hospital Pvt Ltd. Itwill be a tribute to the three doyens in the field of vitreoretinal specialty namely Dr. S. S. Badrinath, Dr. P. Namperumalsamy and Dr. PranNagpal who are completing 75 years of their life teaching and training new generations of retinologists in the subcontinent.

Dr. Somdutt Prasad — MS, FRCSEd, FRCOphth, FACS and MFMLM — is currently a consultant ophthalmologist and retina specialist at B.B. Eye Foundation, AMRI and i4vision. He was previously a consultant ophthalmologist at the Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Wirral, UK, and a clinical lecturer at the University Of Sheffield & Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, UK. Dr. Prasad is active in the leading national and international ophthalmology societies and a regular faculty at the UK, European and American Societies of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has authored over 75 peer-reviewed publications and eight book chapters.
