Many people associate wearing modest dresses as a way of showing the world that you are part of a religious sect or that some how you are required by your culture to cover up. And you are right, many people that wear ultra conservative modest dresses are doing it for religious reasons or as a form of cultural norm. However, there are people out there that have no religious or cultural affiliation to any group that require wearing ultra modest dresses, but still love wearing a modest dress just because they like it. I for one completely understand where they are coming from.

To me, a woman is her most attractive and confident self when she is comfortable. It takes away from the pressure of feeling like you have to wear this trendy dress today and that trendy dress tomorrow just so you can fit with society's standard of beauty for women. Modest dresses don't have be covered head to toe, modesty depends on whatever makes you comfortable and so it depends and varies from one person to another.

Fashion designers in the last decade has all but abandoned the modest dress styles. But I believe there is a strong market out there for modest dresses, and I for one am hopeful that one of these days, designing a cute, beautiful and sexy modest dress will be the norm.

A well made modest dress can be multi functional and will work seamlessly in transitioning from wear to work dress to a cocktail dress. It can also perfect for working or stay at home moms as a modest dress can be comfortable enough to let you move around easily to run around the kids, at home, the park or just out and about at the grocery store and more.

It is encouraging to see a few online stores popping up lately that cater specifically to women that like to wear a modest dress. I have seen some really cute and stylish modest dress styles on the net lately ranging from cute summer dresses, retro vintage inspired swing dresses to a more form fitting modest dresses with cute floral and geometric prints to go with it.
