Hollywood, California (4th August, 2014) – A Mexican by blood, who grew up to become a writer, actor, director, musician and stage manager. Tele prompter, TV hosting, Jessica Garza has experienced them all. And recently, she is in news for being one of the actors nominated for African Oscars in 2013, for adeptly performing her role in “The African Film of Sentimental Value”, where her co-stars were Tommy Lister and Malik Yoba. The awards ceremony will be hosted in September in Los Angeles this year.
Jessica won the African Oscar for her son America soundtrack of the African film “The Fetus.” Jessica has also been working on the production of her first Film Script, “Perfect Beauty”, which is going to be filmed in Puebla, Mexico City in 2014. Jessica will be starring in this film next to Adrian Alonso.
The film “The Fetus” revolves around the story of a Mexican immigrant in America who is raped and after the incident the unborn foetus continues a monologue with the viewers, asking to prevent abortion. The film is directed by Nigerian John Chuka.
Jessica has been a strong and talented actor, singer over the years and this has not been a sudden decision she took in her life. She has been pursuing studies along these lines, having completed BA in Theatre, in 2004-08 from the University of America, (UDLA), Puebla. She completed her ballet lessons from the Royal Academy of London. In 2011, she completed her MFA Acting for film, New York Film Academy, Los Angeles.
In 2012, she did two music videos; “With Us or Against Us ARJUN”, and “Kamran & Hooman”. From 2008 to 2012, she was active with the theatre performances in “I Love you, You Are Perfect, Now Change”, “heaven On Skin”, “Beauty and the Beast”, and others like the” Christmas Show.”
She also worked closely with various television productions like, “Poor Poor Rich”, “Secrets of the Soul”, and “Bibi the Witch Web Series.” Among her acting career in films which spans from 2011 to 2013, she has acted in “Wish You Were Here”, “The Proposal”, “Oblivion”, “Napkins”, “Wllie parker” and quite recently, “The Fetus.”
Jessica Garza is the first talented person from Mexico to have won an African Oscar. She won it for her portrayal of the lead character in the film, The Fetus.’ She has many notable performances to her credit and she is still on her way to become one of the best artists of the modern era. It is hoped that she will give more remarkable performances.
