Little Girl Who Brings Big Inspirations To Ski Racing Lovers

Alpine Ski racing is a relatively less popular outdoor sport among the youngsters of the UK. However, young alpine racers like Daisi Daniels try to make it big through her tiny ways.

The origin of ski racing might date back almost a century ago, but it still has to bring something fresh to the eyes of new generation, especially to those not much acquainted to the thrill of outdoor activities. Even to the youngsters wanting a welcome break from the conventional board surfing and swimming, ski racing is worth a try!

No wonder, when it comes to a sport, which is somewhat not common, or needs a lot of diligence to master, participation in the events of such sports concerned is no mean accomplishment. As for example, ski racing itself requires the sportsperson master the ability to paddle in the right speed, that too in the perfect time, while not compensating with the need to balance.

Daisi Daniels, now 13, started to learn the lesser-attempted sport of alpine ski racing at a tender age of 4, while holidaying in Austria. A passionate Ski Racer now, the short-statured happy soul has not only become an indoor ski champion in her age group, but has also been voted as one of the ‘most promising’ skier by the experts in the field.

Daisi herself seems to take skiing more than seriously and thus thinking about participating in the Olympics when she would feel that she is ready to do justice to her taking part in the coveted event.

Fans of ski racing also point that the sport itself can also be a good choice for vocation because expertise in this game can also help future professional lifesavers to train themselves for tackling tricky situations and complicated jobs. Even if not taken professionally, this sport aids in working out various parts of body, including that of the muscles of shoulders, the neck, the bicep, the triceps and also the chest. Experts hope the success story of Daisi and her peers would encourage more youths and young children take skiing seriously.

When Daisi was asked about her stance in the sport, she smilingly mentioned that “It's lots of fun….”

The young teenager already has a number of feathers on her crown, including the British Children’s Championships in Tignes, France Under 14s held on April 2016 where she stood overall 1st, British Children’s Championships in Tignes, France Under 14s on April 2016 where she stood slalom 1st, British Children’s Championships in Tignes, France Under 14s on March 2016 where she stood 1st Giant Slalom event, as well as she stood first in both the Super G and SG/GS Kombi event.

Daisi also congratulates herself of having a great fan following, with whom she consistently keeps in touch through her personal website. The young Ski Racer maintains her blog where she personally communicates on the upcoming events she will be taking part in. As on 06 August 2016, the British Ski Academy has shifted its base to Pila, Aosta Vally in Italy from Les Houches, France where Daisi will be given intensive training. As on 11 September 2016, Daisi was attending the SSE trials held at Manchester Chill Factore indoor snow center.

Daisy is looking forward to compete in the 21stEnglish Alpine Ski Championships, 2017, which is scheduled to be held in the bona fide Italian ski town of Bormio and her coach expects her to deliver a better-than-ever performance.

However, getting trained for ski racing can be expensive. An intensive training means shifting to a new base and staying there for long time, both of which can be quite expensive to afford. Plus, Daisi needs to bear the cost of good quality sports gear and allied costs; and this is something that requires sponsorship. Though a number of companies have opened their hearts and wallets for the little girl, Daisi requests for any amount of sponsorship, the details of which are available in her website.
