Adding another feather to the cap of achievements, GVK CSMIA has been awarded with IATA CEIV Pharma Accreditation, which makes it the first ever airport in India and the third one in Asia to become the first pharmaceuticals’ gateway to India.

The IATA CEIV Pharma certification was introduced to prevent temperature excursions of pharma products during air transport with the key objective of patient safety and reduction of losses attributed to logistical issues and GVK CSMIA had put some unparalleled efforts to achieve this quality milestone after training tough for courses, on-site assessments, and complex validation processes. Acknowledging the importance of this initiative, MIAL has also initiated the certification process in a community approach together with its air cargo supply chain partners.

Apart from being the holder of this prestigious award, GVK MIAL is also a strategic member of ‘Pharma Aero’ and the project lead for ‘Airside Transport Benchmark’.
