Acubody Therapists Are Now Using Acupuncture For Infertility

Acupuncture has been used in China for over 3,000 years, although it has only started to gain ground in the West in the last 50 years or so.

Acupuncture therapists at Acubody are now using acupuncture in North London in order to assist with problems of infertility in both men and women. Acupuncture has only gained ground in the West in the last 50 years, although the Chinese have been using it for over 3,000 years to assist with all kinds of different health problems.

The Chinese have long believed that the human body is a miniature version of the universe, and also that vital energy flows through the body and performs many different functions in order to maintain health. Acupuncture forms part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and therapists believe that chronic pain and many other health problems stem from an imbalance in the flow of energy, or qi, and the job of the therapist is to restore the flow of qi into balance.

There are also other concepts such as Yin and Yang. These are two opposing yet complementary forces that when in balance result in good health. Therapists describe the Yin or Yang character of health such as its’ temperature which would be hot or cold, quantity such as sufficient or insufficient, and so on. The idea is that one cannot exist without the other.

Acupuncture is one of the oldest medical treatments in the world. It has long been described as an “alternative” medical treatment in the West but is now gaining more and more attention to the point that in many instances it is becoming mainstream. Many health practitioners view acupuncture as less likely to cause harmful side effects than many of the drugs that are in use today.

Acupuncture is a process of inserting very fine needles into the skin at specific points in the body. These needles are inserted between ½ an inch and an inch and manipulated by hand. They may also sometimes be manipulated using a very small electric charge, which is known as electro-acupuncture. Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that there are 12 channels, known as meridians, along which qi flows from the surface of the skin to all the internal organs and that when this flow is interrupted the result is some form of ill health.

Inserting the needles into the meridians is done at specific points which depends upon the problem that is to be treated. There is certainly growing scientific evidence to support the use of acupuncture for many pain conditions including neck pain and chronic low back pain.

However, acupuncture is now also being used for the treatment of infertility. Acubody therapists are having some considerable success with the use of acupuncture for infertility in London. One of the main problems we face in the world today is stress, which is responsible for many illnesses. Stress is known to cause problems with ovulation in women and also accounts for a low sperm count in men. The therapists at Acubody have been using acupuncture in order to treat stress and anxiety, which in turn has had the beneficial effect of reducing one of the chief causes of infertility in both men and women.
