Agricultural machinery manufacturer K-Line Ag provides dual-purpose Speedtillers, saving farmers time and money when preparing a seedbed.

[New South Wales, 07/08/2017] - K-Line Ag, the developer of advanced farming equipment, provides a one-pass seedbed preparation machine, the Speedtiller®. The Speedtiller® is a disc-tilling machine that can be used for digging and finishing.

Crop Residue Management

The Speedtillers’ high-speed discs used for tillage allow efficient cutting, sizing, and incorporation of large amounts of crop residue. The process increases the carbon content in the soil and reduces the risk of soil erosion.

Levelling and Finishing

The Speedtiller® helps improve soil quality and crop yield. As the machine incorporates trash to the soil, it lifts the soil, lessening compaction. The Speedtiller® is an ideal finishing tool, levelling the ground in preparation for seed planting.

Machinery Advantages

The Speedtiller® can be used to control weeds in fields and paddocks that are chemical-resistant. It allows superior penetration in doing primary tillage on old pasture. The machine allows the user to quickly and easily adjust the positioning of the disc to maximise weed control and soil penetration. A quick adjustment of lateral disc positioning can also compensate for disc wear and eliminate seeder bounce.

The Speedtiller’s jump arms allow the machine to work even in stony soils. It can work in soft, wet and sandy soils. The machine can be set up easily, as it can be adjusted with hydraulics.
The Speedtiller® is designed to withstand Australia’s harsh conditions and operate under extreme conditions. It gives farmers a cost-effective solution as they no longer need a separate machine for digging or levelling. The disc cutting force allows accurate depth control, helping farmers save on fuel.
