Wine drinkers suffer from a sensitivity to sulphites in wine. And to reduce that, Drop It is used which reduces the effect of sulfites without altering the taste.

Wine brings people together and serves as a great way to embellish meals. Unfortunately, one percent of wine drinkers suffer from a sensitivity to sulphites in wine. This can lead to headaches and a feeling of being “hung over” after only a small amount. Wine is a perishable product. To preserve freshness, and to increase antioxidant content, vineyards often add sulphites. This compound, also known as sulphur dioxide, prevents oxidizing of the beverage and ensures a fresh taste. Sulphites in wine can cause a headache in those sensitive to the addition. Drop It is an all-natural wine additive proven to reduce the sulphite content in wine. This product is FDA approved, and can be found in boutique wine stores and markets.

The amount of sulphite added to wine is dependent on the ingredients used in creating the wine. Products that spend less time in contact with the fruit (such as white wines) have moderate levels added. White wines have approximately 220ppm of sulphite added. This is due in part to the tannins present in the fruit, which act as a natural preservative.

Red wines spend more time in contact with these natural items, and therefore have a higher level of natural protection. Therefore, red wines have a significantly lower level of sulphites added. This can be measured at around 160ppm. Sweeter wines, such as rose, have a higher tendency to spoil. Wine makers add approximately 400ppm of sulphite to these blends. Sulphite in wine headaches makes it difficult to enjoy drinking a glass of wine with friends, or even as part of a meal.

Drop It is all natural and supports a variety of diets. Being gluten, dairy, and soy free allows this product to be able to be enjoyed by a variety of wine lovers. Drop It works to neutralize sulphites in wine and the headache they so often cause. Without affecting taste or texture, Drop It can be used for both casual enjoyment and at wine tastings.

While Drop It will not take away from the aftereffects of enjoying too much wine, it can help to decrease the headache suffered after the occasional glass. Drop It is a financially responsible way to enjoy the many varieties of wine on the market. Costing between twenty and sixty cents a glass, a bottle of Drop It will treat up to 55 glasses of wine.
