FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Miami, FL (July 5th, 2019) – The Karma Honey Project is comprised of thoughtful entrepreneurs dedicated towards helping strategically place bee hives throughout Puerto Rico. They are able to help with local agriculture efforts by donating native bees which pollinate fruits and vegetables, helping to increase the amount of fresh food grown on the island. The foundation also aides researchers in discovering the probable causes that are jeopardizing the bee population.

Since the development of the foundation, the volunteers have been strengthening the voices of Caribbean bee enthusiasts. They aim to assist hobbyists and farmers in utilizing the power of the Puerto Rican Honey Bee and show them how they can make a difference within their own communities.

At a recent press meet, founder Candice Galek was asked about how they use the proceeds and if they have been successful in obtaining funding, she replied “The Karma Honey project accepts both public and private donations to assist with our efforts. Most recently, from philanthropist Tascha Halliburton of https://taschahalliburtonfoundation.com who is helping us to expand our education program.” Currently they save wild bees from extermination by removing intrusive swarms from homes and private properties, and rehoming them on organic farms. They plant fields of pollinator friendly flowers for wild bees to forage from, and spread awareness of the unique bee on the island.
