May 01, 2018: BetField: The Watch&Play Board Game 4 Fans is a new concept that allows people to place bets on the soccer / football matches that they watch at home. The project is owned by Orsolya Stark from Budapest, Hungary, who has just launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to finance it.

The system allows people to enjoy matches on home-view basis, and place bets based on live action in the events of the matches – such as penalties, offsides, corners and goals. Users can invite a few friends to watch their match, place bets on the events of the match, watch the match and win chips and find out who the winner is.

With this project, soccer / football lovers can transform their TV matches easily into party games and place bets on substitutions, free kicks, goals and more with the board of roulette-style, chips and event cards that have been offered.

A smartphone app, at half time and then again at full-time, scans the entire board and informs who the actual winner is. Once users install the app in their phone, they can get future match alerts along with a feature to plan watch-and-play events with dear ones. Once the second target is reached, additional features will be made available.

The project has been created by various professionals who share a common passion for football. BetField provides fans with the opportunity to test their knowledge. Fans that have a more casual approach in watching football can also join into the excitement. Whether casual watchers, armchair watchers or more hardcore supporters, anyone can join in and have fun. The ability to place bets gives everyone some extra inspiration to watch matches and root for this side or the other.

It offers users the chance to choose the match-events that they wish to place bets on. They can pick from various event-cards and place bets by placing their chips on various sections of the board. The chips can be won or lost as events take place. In each half of a match, every event-bet can be claimed as many as 4 times.

Players can place more bets during the match, although with some obvious exceptions. For instance, they might not place bets on already occurred events. Winners can gather the chips at half time, once the automatic scoring app scans the results. They can accumulate the event cards prior to the second half, and then place new bets.

The second half can be enjoyed in much the same manner. The automatic scoring app can scan results during full-time, and chips can be collected by the winner whose name has been announced.
