This press release intends to inform the readers that Father Luke Melackrinos talks about how Eastern Orthodox Churches & Western Churches celebrate Easter.

 
According to [b]Fr. Luke Melackrinos[/b], there are subtle differences and similarities between how Eastern Orthodox Churches & Western Churches celebrates Easter. He says that both these churches celebrate Easter on different days based on different calendars. The main similarity is that they fall on the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring, but Western Churches follow the Gregorian calendar while the Eastern Orthodox follows the Julian calendar. [b]Father Luke Melackrinos[/b] has attended Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and completed his Masters of Divinity degree in 2003. On March 30, 2002, he was ordained to the Diaconate by Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George in Bethesda, Maryland. Thereafter, he was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on the feast day of St. Kosmas of Aitolos by Metropolitan Gerasimos at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Paul.

[b]About Father Luke Melackrinos[/b]

[b]Father Luke Melackrinos[/b] completed his Masters of Divinity from the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology class of 2003. He was ordained to the Diaconate on March 31, 2002 by Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George in Bethesda, Maryland. Later on, Fr. Luke Melackrinos was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on the feast day of St. Kosmas of Aitolos on August 24, 2003 by Metropolitan Gerasimos at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Paul. He has initiated and re-initiated many Christ-Centered Ministries and serves the community by volunteering many communities in Hempstead. He is married to Marusia (Podhurec) the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox priest and has three children Eleni, Magdalena, and Mia. He loves spending time with his children and assist youth and adults by advising them on their issues.
