After dating for five years, the two solemnised their marriage in a glitz church ceremony on Saturday at the Kenya Assemblies of God church in Buru Buru, Nairobi in a two-hour affair that was short of long sermons and boring speeches.

Tears of joy, jubilation, song and dance rented the air as the groom Daddy Owen and his best man, his elder brother Rufftone as well as the groomsmen entered the church followed shortly by the bride Farida who looked gorgeous in a strapless long flowing angelic wedding gown.

The groom’s wing men comprised of comedian Eric Omondi, Max Wambua, Raydon Omwaka and O Odadi while the bride’s side has had Daddy Owen’s younger sister Jojo among others. The theme was golden white and red.

After saying the vows, also witnessed by parents Regina and C Githiaka and Josephat and Margaret Mwita, the two broke the marriage ice with a light kiss to the ululation of all.

Even though a few celebrities attended the church ceremony, it was a star-studded affair at the new five star Radisson Blue Hotel in Upperhill where the wedding banquet was being hosted. Celebrity couples and prominent personalities like politician Ferdinand Waititu, businessman Gor Semelang’o, the Director of Digital Communication in Office of the President Dennis Itumbi, Nameless and Wahu, Size 8 and DJ MO, R Kay and his wife Taji, Janet Mbugua and husband Ndichu, Juacali and his wife Lily, Chipukeezy and his fiancée Vivian, Eric Omondi and his finacee Shantel, Emmy Kosgei, Sauti Sol, Big Ted, Jaguar, Mercy Masika, Frasha, Churchill, Arthur K and his flame among others joined the party - that was hosted by rib cracker Dr Ofweneke.
