28 June, 2017 - IPv6 is Internet Protocol Version 6 which is a version of Internet protocol (IP). IPv6 provides identification for computers on a Network. IPv6 was developed by the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force). IP address is assigned to every device which is connected through internet for identification and location. With the help of IP address we can send data packets over the internet.

IPv6 was launched on 6th June 2012. It is the updated version of IPv4. In the Ipv6 we have more IP addresses than IPv4. IPv6 provides 128 bit long address where as in the IPv4 we have only 32 bit long addresses.

IPv6 is a hexadecimal address. It provides Larger IP address space then IPv4.
