K-Star promotions presents ‘Tear Up At The Tower’ Sunday 24th February at the Tower ballroom in Birmingham UK. This is the first of a series of Muay Thai events that we will be holding at the Tower this year.

We have some great fights lined up

K-Star’s Dan Edwards against John Paul Donoghue from Semtex at 78kg.

A lot of fans are really looking forward to this fight, Dan is starting to make a name for himself now with wins over Kev Ward, Joe Roberts and Phil Burke. He just lost a amazing fight against Charlie Gillespie on the Team Tieu show, so is really mixing it up with the big names now.

JP is a very strong fighter from a very strong gym, who has also been on a winning streak lately and already holds the UKMF Southern area and UKMF English title. So expect a bit of a war!

Adrian Maguire from K-Star takes Che Nam from Shin Kick gym.

This is a rematch from one of the most exciting fights on the February 2010 show that has been waiting to happen ever since!

The first fight happened in February 2010 and at the time this was Adrian’s 5th pro fight and it was a big step up for him as the fight was under full Thai rules or A class and previously Adrian had only fought C class rules. Che at the time was the more experienced fighter, he had fought better opposition and had also fought full Thai rules before.

The fight was a very tough exciting fight which had the crowd on their feet for most of the fight. The atmosphere was electric. The fight was going back and forth throughout with Che almost stopping Adrian with low kicks in the last round. The fight went the distance with Adrian winning a close points victory.

Ever since Che has been after a rematch and the match has been set several times including twice for a WBC but has never happened due to circumstances outside of the fighters control …… until now. Due to Che having a neck injury and being unable to clinch, this fight will be under K1 Rules. So maybe the low kicks from Che could win him the fight this time!

K-Star’s Nathan Epps takes on Jono Bracken in a K1 Rules fight

Both are Muay Thai fighters, Jono has fought several times in Lumpini Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. but this fight will be under K1 rules. Jono is a double Irish K1 Champion so this will be a very tough fight for Nathan. We will be making sure that he trains very Hard for this fight.

Mark Timms, K-Star V Joe Newton, Impact gym.
This is a rematch, Timms won the first fight but that was at 86kg, this time both fighters are down to 81kg.
James Dore, K-Star V Paul Hopkins, Birmingham.

A good local battle between to great up and coming fighters.

Pete Rai, K-Star V Dean Truran, Shinkick.

Its always an explosive fight when Pete Rai is involved.

Tickets are £30 but there are some very special offers on the tickets at http://muaythaishows.com/
