Asia extended a selloff in global equities on Thursday, as heightened concerns about world economic growth sent Japanese stocks tumbling and U.S. Treasury yields down.

Software services exporter Tata Consultancy Services ' (TCS) second quarter earnings, which will be announced on Thursday evening, are expected to be strong, feel analysts. Profit after tax is likely to grow 5 percent sequentially to Rs 5,312.6 crore in the quarter ended September 2014

Technically speaking, for Nifty the level of 7830 - 7800 is now an immediate term support for the index whereas it faces a stiff resistance around 7925 and beyond that at 7975.
