Seoul, 2016 - Alzther Industries a startup biotechnology company, focused on diseases associated with protein misfolding and which is developing drugs to halt the progression and companion diagnostics for the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease, today announced the appointment of Choi Kyong-Duk, M.D., to its Scientific Advisory Board.
Dr. Kyong-Duk is a renowned scientist and physician whose research focuses on using advanced structural and functional brain imaging to study normal aging, mild cognitive impairment and dementia and the role of genetics, cerebrovascular and Alzheimer's disease on these processes.
Dr. Kyong-Duk is Professor of Neurology at the University of Singapore. He is the Director of the Alzheimer's disease Hospital and of Health funded Alzheimer's research center. He is also Director of the Imaging of Dementia laboratory. He is a recipient of several International Prizes in Medicine in recognition of his work. In addition, Dr. Kyong-Duk is the Editor-in-Chief of Alzheimer Disease Magazine.
