The Orbis School participates in grain donation drive in drought hit Marathwada region

• Orbis school donates jowar to drought hit Dhamangaon village, Ashti, Beed district through the grain donation campaign organized by Karishma Care Foundation. • 1,132 Kg of jowar was collected and distributed in Dhamangaon village.

 
Marathwada is facing one of the most acute drought situations in its history. The impact of this drought is devastating and it has made life very difficult for hundreds of people in various parts of Marathwada. It is the need of the hour to unite and help the people of Marathwada through various social initiatives.
Keeping this in mind, with a goal of reaching out to the people of drought hit areas of Marathwada, the staff and students of Orbis school recently participated in the grain donation campaign organized by Karishma Care Foundation.
The students and staff of the Orbis school along with Karishma Care Foundation worked together and collected 1,132 Kg of jowar from their houses and nearby societies. Mrs. Neelam Tuteja and her team from Karishma Care Foundation distributed the collected grains in Dhamangaon village in Ashti, Beed district.
While talking about this initiative Headmistress of Orbis School Mrs. Sharada Rao said, “The participation in grain donation drive in drought affected Marathwada region was our endeavor to reach out to people in that region; while instilling the values of community service in our younger generation.”
She further said, “Keeping in mind Mother Teresa’s quote: “It's not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving matters”, the staff and students of The Orbis School participated in the grain donation campaign with this thought in their mind.”
