The convocation ceremony of ICAI was held at Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapith. President CA Manoj Fadanvis interacted with the audience from New Delhi on Google Hangout. On this occasion, ICAI Secretary CA Radheshyam Agarwal, Regional Council Member of ICAI WIRC CA Sarvesh Joshi, Director of Commerce Dept. Pune University Dr. Sanjay Kaptan, Chancellor of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth Dr. Deepak Tilak, ICAI Central Council Member CA S.B.Zaware, ICAI WIRC Regional Council Member CA S.G.Mundada and Pune ICAI President CA Yashwant Kasar were the dignitaries present on stage.
Today ICAI had organized convocation ceremony in 11 different cities simultaneously via Google hangout. The cities where convocation was held through Google hangout are as follows: Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Ahmadabad, Chandigarh, Chennai and Pune. Bangalore received highest number of registrations for CA curriculum; Pune is 3rd in terms of number of registrations received for CA in India. This year 9 students from Pune performed admirably in CA examination.
Dr. Sanjay Kaptan, Director Commerce Dept. Pune University was the chief guest on this occasion. While talking on this occasion Dr. Sanjay Kaptan said, ''The challenges which accountants are facing today are changing day by day. If accountants perform their duties with perfection, then we would be able to prevent scams in the nation. The 40 different methods which Kautilya had prescribed to tackle corruption need to be implemented to curb corruption.''
He further said that, ''Due to information technology accounting field is witnessing radical changes and accounting is emerging as the new language of the business. Accountant always strives for the betterment of the economy, society and business growth.''
On this occasion Chancellor of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Dr. Deepak Tilak said, ''If you are to sustain and establish yourself in this profession, then you need to be of entrepreneurial mindset. In today’s world entrepreneurial mindset and proper time management is key to succeeding in any profession.''
ICAI Central Council Member CA S.B.Zaware said, ''Today CA is not just restricted to accounting; his work is expanding in businesses all over the world. Hence a CA must learn various things related to business management alongside accounting.
Pune ICAI President CA Yashwant Kasar made the introductory address, while ICAI regional council member CA S.G.Mundada introduced the guests. Pune ICAI Secretary CA Radheshyam Agarwal gave the thanking note. CA Anand Chandak anchored the programme.
