Doctors of Jehangir Hospital mark ‘Doctor’s Day’ with tree plantation drive

• Doctor’s day is celebrated in India in the memory of famous physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy on 1st July every year.

 
This year the medical fraternity of Jehangir hospital marked doctor’s day with a tree plantation drive.
This is in line with the call given by the government of Maharashtra, requesting citizens to plant as many trees as possible on 1st of July 2016.
On this occasion prominent doctors of Jehangir hospital, such as Dr. S. S. Deshpande, Dr. Edibam, Dr. Duggal, Dr. Divate, and many other renowned doctors, planted environment friendly fruit trees in the premises of Jehangir hospital.
The management of Jehangir hospital especially Chairman Sir Cowasji Jehangir, was present to support the tree plantation initiative by the doctors, and took the opportunity to plant a sapling himself.
While talking about the event, Sir Cowasji Jehangir said, “I am extremely proud of this initiative taken by the doctors, to support and enrich the environment.”
