Squash is a sport played through racket by two players in single match and four players in doubles match in a walled court with a small, echoing rubber ball. To play squash players must alternate in hit the ball by racket and hit the ball onto the wall on playable surfaces.

The game was previously called squash rackets.Centralized governing body of Squash is the World Squash Federation (WSF). Squash sportis recognized by the IOC (International Olympic Committee). Squash is not the part of the Olympic Games. So many players who play squash are tried to add it in Olympic Games. So many supporters and players continue to lobby for itsto make this game a part of future Olympic Games.

Squash rackets is standardized by the rules of the authorized body of game. Traditionally rackets were made of fine laminated wood, with a small wound area by using natural gut strings. But a rule was change in the year of 1980. Rackets are now always made of composite materials or metals like graphite, Kevlar, titanium, boron and the strings are with synthetic. Dimension of modern rackets have maximum of 686 mm (27.0 in) long and 215 mm (8.5 in) wide, strung area of 500 square cm (90 sq in) maximum. Maximum weight is 255 grams (9.0 oz) only is permitted, but most of rackets have a weight between 90 and 150 grams (3–5.3 oz.).

Squash ball is also standardizing by WSF between 39.5 and 40.5 mm in diameter. It is having a weight of 23 to 25 grams. It is made with two pieces of rubber compound, pasted together to form a hollow sphere and polished to a matte finish. Balls are also provided for varying temperature and atmospheric conditions and standards of play. Experienced players only use slow balls. Whichhave features of less bounce. Slower balls tend to "die" in corners of the court, rather than "standing up" to allow easier shots. Ball depends on its specific rubber composition. Squash sport has the property that it bounces more at when the temperature is high. One of the important things about squash balls that it must be hit so many times to warm them to make it ready to play. In cold temperature squash balls have little bounce. Some Ballhaving colored dots indicates its level of dynamism or bounciness, and this make the ball standardizeto play for which it is suited.
