Tukee Nepal Society, established in 2005, has been at the forefront of providing crucial Education, Healthcare, and Social Services to communities in Nepal, with a current emphasis on the remote district of Dhading. The organization's overarching mission is to bolster education, particularly among farming families, fostering improved living conditions and a solid foundation for future endeavors. The inclusive nature of their programs ensures that all members of local families, including women and children, reap the benefits. Central to Tukee Nepal's philosophy is the conviction that enhancing women's participation in economic activities is vital for fostering progressive social conditions in Nepal, leading to a multifaceted approach that includes women empowerment and education.

A noteworthy recognition came in the form of the Surya Nepal Awards in 2011, celebrating Tukee Nepal Society's relentless efforts in health, sanitation, electricity, and education, ultimately elevating the living standards of the people in Jyamrung village.

Looking forward, the organization is on a trajectory of expansion, targeting more localities in Nepal. The focus remains on Education and Health-related projects, with a strategic vision to contribute to economic stability through innovative agro-tourism programs. Tukee Nepal believes that these initiatives will not only rejuvenate the financial prospects for locals but also offer investment opportunities for those keen on contributing to the welfare of others while ensuring a return on investment.

Activities undertaken by Tukee Nepal Society are conducted in adherence to the regulations set forth by the Nepal Government. Some key initiatives include the construction of school buildings, teacher training programs, scholarships for higher education, programs for female and adult education, awareness campaigns on HIV/AIDS, establishment of Farmers' School, advocacy for rural road construction, micro-finance projects for women empowerment, operation of health posts and camps in remote areas, and numerous training programs for locals, teachers, health workers, and volunteers.

The organization's roots trace back to its founder, Mr. Ram Sapkota, born in the remote village of Jyamrung. Growing up in a farming family amidst poverty, Ram witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by children and adults in accessing education. Undeterred, he pursued higher education and, driven by a desire to effect positive change, embarked on a journey of humanitarian activities. Starting as a trekking guide, he eventually founded Tukee Nepal Samaj in 2005, driven by a commitment to support education for children in impoverished villages.

Ram's encounters with foreigners during his guiding days proved instrumental in garnering support for his initiatives. Notably, a Swedish couple, Ewa Söderberg and Dan Söderberg, along with journalist Mikael Person, visited Ram's village, witnessed the dire conditions of the school building, and decided to contribute to his cause. Inspired by Ram's activities, they established a supporting organization in Sweden.

Over the years, Tukee Nepal has evolved beyond supporting individual children's education to undertaking comprehensive village development projects. These projects include infrastructure development, sanitary facilities, healthcare centers, and initiatives to promote tourism in the community. Through community treks, Tukee Nepal has not only uncovered hidden tourist gems but has also empowered locals to engage in tourism-related businesses, fostering economic growth and an improved quality of life.

In essence, Tukee Nepal Society stands as a beacon of hope, actively shaping a brighter future for communities in Nepal through its unwavering commitment to education, healthcare, and holistic social development.
