Ghorepani Poonhill Trek has it all, whether it's geographical characteristics or cultural significance. This trek, alongside the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, is one of the most picturesque packages in the Annapurna Region. This walk, though short, includes a broad range of highlights from hills to lakes to wildlife and hospitality. Isn't the best way to open a trekking trip a long drive? And if it's the scenic Pokhara on the Trishuli River, it's heavenly. Isn't that? Like every other trekking trip to the region of Annapurna, this trek also begins with a trip to Nepal's Cherrapunji. Boat on the Phewa Lake and appreciate the Machhapuchhre and Annapurna peaks ' clear reflections. There's another drive after Pokhara, but a smaller one, that makes way for Nayapul and it's here that our trekking begins. The first target is at Ulleri, above 3300 steps from Tikhedhunga. From here, the path forms to Ghorepani, which for traders emerges as an ancient resting location. Ghorepani is a place where traders discovered water for their horses, as the name indicates. After an early one-hour walk to the Poonhill 3210 meters high, our main destination arrives. This hill is known for its unwavering views of the Annapurna range including the Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, and other hills alongside the region's 360-degree views. Follow the paths back to Ghorepani and then walk along the stone slabs to the rhododendron and pine forest. Our walk then brings us to Ghandruk, a Gurung settlement known for its cultural significance as well as its geographical place that offers opinions of some of the region's highest peaks.
