Mission Ayushman Bharat is in full swing. More than 41 crore citizens have chosen the digital Health System, in which 28 crore people have already linked their health updates to the ABHA account.

Now individuals can avail of paperless health services under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Over 28 crore people have digitally linked with their ABHA account. Individuals can easily access and manage these records using any ABDM-enabled health apps. Individuals can use their Personal Health Records (PHR) apps to access their records across different health facilities like hospitals, clinics, diagnostic labs etc. and store them in the app.

Building Block Updates

a) HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL REGISTRY
• Healthcare professionals can now specify they received support from NHA for registration under the Preview Profile.
• After the generation of the healthcare professional ID (HPID), a pop-up message will appear to complete the HPR registration.
• Every professional registering on HPR will require a digital sign (eSign) of their form before submitting it.

b) Health Facility Registry
• The Multi HRP construct is live. Now multiple HMIS/LMIS may be connected to one facility.
• Activities to improve data quality are initiated to ensure accuracy.

c) ABHA App
• Tab Token History is visible now. It helps users to see past tokens.
• Now QR – Code can be scanned at low light using a torch facility.
• QR-code can be scanned through a photo gallery.
• Improved interface for better user experience.

Speaking on the significance of this milestone, the CEO of NHA said, “Digitization of physical records is crucial to the objective of building an inter-operable and accessible healthcare ecosystem. The speed at which health records are being made more accessible via ABHA linking indicates the sincerity of all stakeholders and the robustness and scalability of the underlying technology. Collaborative efforts from majority stakeholders help to achieve the objective of ABDM that benefit the end patients.”

Furthermore, elaborating on the importance of ABHA-linked health records, the CEO of NHA said, “The patients are entitled to ready access to their records and the choice of sharing selected records. It eliminates the need for the patient to travel to the physical healthcare facility for initial or follow-up consultations. With patients/ individuals at the centre, we are enabling easy exchange of information across different applications and platforms, thus bringing more efficiency and accessibility in delivery of healthcare services.”
