Earlier the visa was limited to just two entries for expatriates, for 60 days. According to the new guidelines, those falling ill during a visit to India will not be required to apply for a different medical visa. Also, there would be no requirement to convert their business e-visa to medicinal visa in order to get started with the treatment.

The notice by the Ministry of Home Affairs expresses that nationals of all nations who are qualified for the award of an Indian e-visa can visit India on business e-visa for a continuous stretch of 180 days for every visit.
In case that the stay is for less than 180 days, there will be no requirement of getting enlisted with the Foreign Regional Registration Officer (FRRO) or Foreign Registration Office (FRO) in India.

Furthermore, the Indian government has extended the rundown of airplane terminals that permit e-visa holders to enter India. Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar Island and Bhubaneswar in Odisha have been incorporated under this agenda.

Other significant regions from where e-visa holders can enter India incorporate Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Varanasi, Cochin, Mangalore, Pune, Bagdogra, Guwahati, and Vishakhapatnam.

Candidates must carefully mark that the e-visa does not permit entrance into certain limited regions, for example, Arunachal Pradesh in Northeast India. To enter these zones, foreign nationals need to apply for a discrete ensured zone license/permit or inward line grant as per the region necessities.
