There are several different things you can change about wedding invitations to make them become unique wedding invitations. One thing that changes the ordinary wedding invitations into unique wedding invitations, without changing the cost all that much, is the way you word the announcement.

Basically wedding invitations are formal announcements of an upcoming ceremony. They are sent to the family and friends of the bride and the groom. They generally tell the invited guest where the ceremony will take place, the day and time of day that it will be taking place, who is hosting the wedding, and if an RSVP is necessary. In order for the couple to have unique wedding invitations they have to consider all of the information that must be included and then word them in such a way that they seem fresh and interesting.

When you start arranging the wording remember that almost all invitations like these announce who is hosting the event. Traditionally the parents of the bride are the hosts, but the parents of the groom may also be included, and today the bride and groom will often host their own affair. So with this in mind you can word the announcement like:
• The parent of (bride) and (groom) are taking this opportunity to announce the joining of their children in matrimony.
• We are proud to announce that our family is growing. (Bride) and (Groom) are planning to be married on (date). Please join us (host names) as we embrace this new member to our family.
• (Bride) and (groom) would love to have you come and bear witness to our wedding nuptials.

You can also word the wedding invitations according to the style of the event. Some people have very formal ceremonies with lots of bridesmaids, and groomsmen, and a big church. The guests wear formal attire and watch as a traditional bride in a white flowing gown marries her prince charming. Some couples have ceremonies that are more in tune with the way the couple spends their free time. Skydivers may get married while jumping from a plane, and cowboys and cowgirls may get married at a rodeo arena. You can use the theme of the ceremony to word the invites. Try something like:
• Come join (bride) and (groom) as they leap from the single life to wedded bliss.
• We would be pleased if you would come join (bride) and (groom) as they start their journey as husband and wife.
• Please join us as we watch (bride) and (groom) tie the knot. There will be refreshments and dancing after the preacher is through talking.

You can use poetry or the lyrics to love songs to create wording in your unique wedding invitations. There are no real right and wrong ways to announce your nuptials. There are no right and wrong ways to have these ceremonies performed. This is something that the couple is doing to show the world that they are committed to each other and that they have intentions to remain committed to each other for the rest of their time on earth. Remember to save one of the invitations for the bride and groom to place in their keepsake box.
