The two main functions of performance appraisal are represented by evaluative and developmental purposes. Concerning the evaluative aspect, it is used for informing employees’ about their performance within the company. As for the other purpose, the developmental one, it is used for identifying the major problems found in the employees’ performance. Based on this useful information, the specialists in HR resources can organize different skills training for surpassing the management problems.

In conclusion, HR resources management plays a vital role for a company to achieve its purposes. An effective strategic plan created by HR consultants will be extremely helpful for other departments (financial, marketing, operational). Moreover, the HR’ main purposes are based on: having the right people in the right place, right attitudes and behaviours, the right training skills and developmental contexts for the employees. This way, a company can work to its full potential and enjoy the multiple benefits of business improvement.
