[b]Dr. Thomas Marvelli[/b] is a fully licensed Ophthalmologist in the states of Iowa, Illinois, Louisiana, and Texas. He is highly regarded for his unwavering dedication towards patients and with an experience of over 29 years, he demonstrates compassion, respect and integrity. Dr. Marvelli specializes in Pediatric Ophthalmology, Diabetic eye care, Glaucoma, Cataract Surgery, Cornea Transplants, and Lasik Surgery. [b]Dr. Marvelli[/b] is a kind, caring and compassionate ophthalmologist who is dedicated to providing the best possible service to his patients. He was born at September 29, 1953 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and studied at Galesburg Senior High School, Galesburg, IL from 1968 to 1971. For the next two years, he attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL. In 1974, he won G.B. Dudley Award at Eastern Illinois University as he was an outstanding student in the physical and life sciences. In 1975, he completed his B.S degree in zoology/chemistry from Eastern Illinois University situated in Charleston, IL. After this, he joined Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood, IL in 1978 to complete his M.D.
Besides this, he was also a respectable member of Beta Beta Beta, President's Scholar Program at Southern Illinois University, American Chemical Society, and Phi Sigma Society. He was a resident in Internal Medicine from 1978 to 1980 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. [b]Dr. Marvelli[/b] was also the resident in Internal Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center for the following year. In addition to this, in 1984, he completed his residency in Ophthalmology from Louisiana State University Eye Center. From 1984 to 1985, he was also a fellow in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the LSUEC.
In 1984, [b]Dr. Marvelli[/b] practices as Medical Director and Board of Directors at CareFirst Inc. which is situated in Arlington, Texas. He was also a Medical School Admission Representative, at Medical School Curriculum Planning Committee, and Medical School Graduation Committee. Besides being a professional Ophthalmologist, he likes to read, cook, and spend time with his family in his free time.
