With the prevalence of brake-related malfunctions in various car brands, Pinecrest Shell's repair services focus on fixing brakes and other car issues of luxury cars. Their safety checks follow the local traffic standards of the state of Virginia.

[ALEXANDRIA, 11/27/2017] - The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration reported that vehicle malfunction accounted for 44% of crash accidents in 2015. Among these breakdowns, 22% came from brake-related problems. Even Pinecrest Shell notes the percentage may seem little, but in actual numbers, there has been 10,000 brake-related car crashes in 2015.

Brake Malfunction Lawsuits

In just one month this year, the automobile industry faced a wave of lawsuits related to brake malfunction. A lawsuit filed against the Hyundai Sonata stated that the car company misrepresented the car model’s quality and safety. According to the plaintiffs, the brake calipers prematurely corroded and stuck to the brake pads when the driver applied the brake pedals. The rotors were also allegedly defective because they did not meet specifications set by industry standards.

General Motors also faced a lawsuit where they were accused of deceptive business practices and unfair competition. The brand allegedly failed to disclose the defects of specific car models including power steering and brake problems. Additionally, the brand’s service bulletins reportedly contained deceptive information about fixing the flaws, and particular features remained defective even after repair.

Characteristics of “Healthy” Brakes

A ThoughtCo article enumerated the characteristics of fully functional brakes. Crucial points must be checked, like brake fluid levels, work brake pads, and a lousy power boost unit for the brake.

The article said that stepping on brakes should not feel like doing leg presses at the gym, neither should the brakes feel too soft to step on that they hit too close to the car’s floor. Pedal brakes should not be too firm nor should they be too weak.
