Waste is classified by source and composition. Broadly speaking, waste materials are either liquid or solid in form, and their components may be either hazardous or inert in their effects on health and the environment. A remote controller device equipped with a real time clock sets the initiation time and then compares it with the real time and triggers the garbage collection process via radio signal. Here, the process includes the garbage collector moving through a series of classrooms within the school, while stopping at each to collect garbage. This is the main process of the system.

Microcontrollers are used in the first two devices, to carry out the desired functions. Radio transmission is used to communicate between “the remote controller device” and “the garbage collector”. In the implementation of the system, we used “MPLab” & “CCS compiler” to program the microcontrollers. They use “Livewire” & “PCB Wizard” to design the circuit boards. They also use microcontrollers ICs, motor controller ICs, DC geared motors, a radio transmitter, a radio receiver, a RTC, a LCD, actuators and IR sensors as the main hardware components of the system, during the implementation of the hardware.
