Theana Lia Vasdekis - How to Get More Referrals

Posted June 16, 2016 by theanaliavasdekis

The real estate profession is a competitive one, and it’s those professionals with the smarts to ask for more referrals that find themselves making it in the business.

Theana Lia Vasdekis has worked as a realtor since an early age. She is based in Beverly Hills, CA, where she is a member of the Beverly Hills Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors (GLARR). Thanks to a background in the entertainment industry, she’s learned how to recognize and meet the special needs of entertainers, high profile clients, affluent international clients, and celebrities. Like many realtors, she works to ensure quality results, with her dedication earning her client respect, loyalty, and their referrals.

Ask experienced realtors where most of the business comes from and many will likely say referrals. Cultivating good relationships with clients makes it easier for them to refer friends and family to you in future. Loyal customers will refer you, sometimes even without prompting. But if you want to gain more referral business in real estate, you have to ask for it.https://vimeo.com/theanaliavasdekis

If you feel uncomfortable asking clients for referrals, the following are a few opportunities you can maximize on to build your business. They include:

Marketing materials. On your marketing material (letters, brochures, business cards, etc.), you can add a line to the effect of, “The biggest compliment you can give us is recommending us to your friends. We will highly appreciate it!”

Constant updates. Clients love it when they are appreciated. When a client refers someone else your way, thank them and keep them updated. You can call them and provide an update on how the referral business is going. When you show such interest, clients are more likely to recommend you just because you cared.

After sales service. Following up after providing a service is a good business practice. It lets clients know that you care for them and it lays the groundwork for asking for referrals.

When it comes to referrals, never be afraid to ask. Even though it sounds easy to implement, it is one of the neglected aspects of the business. Many homebuyers and sellers in real estate complain of never hearing from the realtor after the deal is done. Don’t be like that. Keeping in touch with your clients and occasionally asking for referrals will pay dividends in due time.
