The resources on the website of Texas Alternative Home School provide information to familiarize Texas educators and the public with the design and format of the STAAR program. The information should help educators understand how the STAAR program measures the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and GED graduates in Texas curriculum standards. These resources should support, in STAAR exams not narrow or replace the teaching of the state-mandated curriculum.
The STAAR program includes assessments that address students receiving special education diploma or services and also for English language learners who meet particular participation requirements. Alternative Home School has had a statewide student assessment for Texas diploma. In weather of spring, Texas students also began taking the State of Texas Assessments of academic readiness of test STAAR. The assessments are also systematically administered to students in grades 3–8 and high school.
Texas student assessment program of Texas Alternative Home School is designed to measure the extent to which a student has learned and is able to apply the knowledge and skills at each tested grade or diploma course identified in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. The state assessment and STAAR Redemption Program is fully aligned to the TEKS, the statewide curriculum required to be properly taught. They also offer an ESL (English as a Second Language) High School Diploma Program, where they also provide exams and curriculum in Spanish. They conduct analysis STAAR tests and homeschooling services for students.
