[BIRMINGHAM, 2/10/2017] – Atkinsons Bullion and online bullion trader based in the UK offers the 2018 UK Queen’s Beasts gold and silver coins for pre-order. Customers who order the coins early will be among of the first to receive them as soon as they become available.

Atkinsons offers free, fully insured delivery on all UK orders. The Unicorn is the first of the 2018 releases of the Queen’s Beasts coins. It is currently the fourth beast in the series.

The Unicorn

The Unicorn of Scotland coin features a stylised rendition of a unicorn on the reverse, holding a shield of the Royal Arms of Scotland. The crown adopted the Unicorn in 1603 when James VI of Scotland became James I of England. Jody Clark, an acclaimed British coin designer, created the design.

The obverse, like all of The Queens Beasts coins, features an image of Queen Elizabeth II. The Royal Mint mints them.

The coins are available in both gold and silver. The gold coins come in ¼ oz. and 1 oz. weights, while the silver is available in a 2oz coin. The ¼ oz. coins start at £271.35, while the 1 oz. starts at £986.78. The pre-order price of the silver edition starts at £29.04.

Customers may also choose to purchase the coins in bulk. Those who wish to order more than 500 coins at a time will have to contact Atkinsons Bullion directly to discuss the most current gold and silver rates.

A Celebration of the Monarchy

The Queen’s Beasts celebrate the British Monarchy and its centuries of heraldry and history. They represent the ten heraldic beasts of the crown, which stood guard during the coronation of the queen.

The gold coins are guaranteed 999.9 fine gold or silver. They are new and exempt from capital gains tax. The silver coins are unique among other coins produced by The Royal Mint because it is the first time that the UK officially struck a two-ounce silver bullion coin.

Atkinsons Bullion provides customers with a first look at the new coins to be released in 2018.
