Ted Hopf Announces Collaboration with The Cambridge University Press for His Upcoming Co-Edited Book, Conceptualizing International Practices

April 20, 2022 - The renowned Cambridge University announced a significant partnership with Ted Hopf, prominent author and professor, to publish the forthcoming book, 'conceptualizing International Practices.' The manuscript has been co-edited by Alena Drieschova from the University of Cambridge, Christian Bueger from the University of Copenhagen, and Ted Hopf, a former faculty member of the National University of Singapore.

Ted Hopf has published extensive literature on the social construction of international politics, international order IR theory, and Soviet Union politics. The leading academic is an acclaimed researcher, editor, and author, with some of his best works published in renowned international publications. Hopf has solo-authored three books and co-edited eight. He has credible experience working at reputable institutions, including the Ohio State University, Ohio University, the University of Michigan, and the National University of Singapore. The intellect recently joined the University of Helsinki Collegium of Advanced Studies faculty as a research associate.

Ted Hopf has written a lot of literature on Russian politics, Moscow's foreign relations, and the Soviet Union. His recent accredited works include 'Making Identity Count: Building a Great Power National Identity Database,' 'Social Construction of International Politics: Identities and Foreign Policies.' The award-winning international relations intellect announced that he's working on the next volume of his international award-winning manuscript, "Reconstructing the Cold War: The Early Years, 1945-1958."

The book's first volume focused on the constructivist accounts of Soviet foreign relations in the Cold War and won many prestigious accolades, including the Paul W. Schroeder and Robert L. Jervis Best Book Award and The Marshall D. Shulman Book Prize. It garnered the interest of academics looking to learn more about Stalin's last years in power and will prove to be a revolution in the concerned fields.

A spokesperson involved in the management and publishing of Ted Hopf's masterworks shared "The upcoming volume of Hopf's book, "A Constructivist History of Khrushchev's Cold War, 1958-1964," re-counts the discourses of Soviet national identity at home as a socialist state ravaged by a recent war and yet precursor of the global revolutionary crusade to its foreign relations with China, Europe, the US, and the rapidly decolonizing world."

She continued, "Over the last few years, Professor Ted Hopf has taught at various levels, including graduate and undergraduate programs. He has also supervised over forty PhD dissertations, with a special focus on international relations, qualitative research techniques, international security, food politics, politics of identity, qualitative methods, social theory, and issues pertaining to the rise of China and the Soviet Union at large."

After completing his bachelor's degree from Princeton University, Hopf chose Columbia University for his PhD. He has made numerous valuable contributions to renowned publications surrounding identity, qualitative research methods, international relations theory, and references particular to the former Soviet space and the Soviet Union.

The renowned scholar's works have been an essential part of prestigious publications, including the American Political Science Review, the European Journal of International Relations Review of International Studies, and many more. Hop’s recent piece "The Distribution of identity and the Future of International Order: China's Hegemonic Prospects" was published in the International Organization. It made it to the Washington Post’s list of 'Top Ten Best Works on Political Economy' and received the prominent Ablie award in 2018. The Cambridge University, University of Tampere, Harvard University, Swedish Institute of International Affairs, Stockholm, Cardiff University, Department of Government, and several other renowned establishments have invited Hopf to speak about his work.
