Hey folks! Simi, Curator at The Blues Project here

Super excited to be announcing a new playlist feature we’ve been fine-tuning for a bit now… We’re always looking to make it as easy as possible for you all to do what we know you come to The Blues Project for – find new R&B & soul-inspired music and artists you love.

So we’re answering the call with a new playlist, ‘On The Wave’. We’ll update it all the time, as opposed to creating a new playlist monthly. This way, you’ll always be able to find the latest new tunes we’re loving at the playlist on your relevant streaming platform. No need to wait till the end of the month. We’ll still publish a playlist update on the website monthly so you know what to look out for.

Just select your streaming platform below and FOLLOW the playlist and you’ll always be ‘On The Wave’.

The new R&B music playlist for the ages

Getting to the first monthly update for the On The Wave playlist, we’re bringing all the treats April delivered as well as the songs May’s brought that we already can’t get over.

The vibrant, diversity of Soul music continues to thrive. We’ve got new projects of very different ilk from Amber Mark, RAYE, Jannelle Monae and Leon Bridges.

One of my all-time fave male singers, Berhana, returns with his signature laid back summertime-musing crooning. And London R&B ever-shining starlet, Ray BLK released her first new cuts in a bit with collabs with Naughty Boy and RAYE. The Internet has also begun to tease music from their sophomore album with a funk soul classic, Roll (Burbank Funk).

From funk-fuelled summer anthems, to lazy sunday jams, to afro-swing dancefloor hits, our first update to On The Wave has it all. Listen, enjoy and share with a friend. And don’t forget to follow the playlist so you’ve always got your fresh tune fix.

Your Bestival 2018 Weekend Guide With Brown x Blue: The Must-See Acts

Bestival 2018 is nearly here to claim its spot as one of the summer’s best weekends out. Our very own Brown x Blue will be heading down, soaking up the Dorset sun and bringing you LIVE coverage from Lulworth Estate.

2 – 5 August, some incredible acts, will be hitting Bestival’s 15 stages. There’s a lot to choose from, but Brown x Blue have selected their top must-see picks from the line-up (there might just be an interview or two, all we can say is watch this space). Get into our Bestival 2018 guide down below.
