Healing The Pain of Mistakes

It does no good to constantly punish ourselves; providing that the mistake was genuine and not a deliberate malicious act we know that we are sorry

The Christmas edition of The British Complementary 10 Minute Awakening Review Medicine Association's newsletter carried an article by Jan Trewartha who specialises in Trauma Release Through Body Realignment, she tells us that the body remembers everything that has happened to us through its cellular memory, not just the physical trauma but the emotional as well.

These memories may manifest as some sort of physical illness at a later date, and this is precisely why we should accept that we can make mistakes and treat ourselves with kindness and compassion.

Being aware that traumatic incidents will have an effect on our bodies can help us to deal with stress and panic, or just feeling unwell, and give us the opportunity to do something positive about it ourselves. Many forms of healing therapy can be beneficial, but the main thing is to understand that mistakes happen, and if dealt with in a sensible manner they can be the catalyst that moves us into a deeper understanding of ourselves and our pathway in life.
