Sydnie Ozanus of Little Elm, Texas, where she was raised by her mother after being born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, earned a 3.40 Grade Point Average for her first school year at Texas Tech University. She is in the Pre-Medical program at Texas Tech and hopes to become a doctor one day. But first things first. In order to get to medical school, Ozanus knows that she must do well as an undergraduate in college and show that she is involved with her community to prove that she can make the transition from medical student to physician when she is ready.

Sydnie Ozanus has always been an excellent student. She graduated early from Prosper High School in 2015 despite working and volunteering in her community as she studied and completed her class work. Ozanus has always felt a duty to her community to help as many people as she could. She was a nanny for two children in town, as well as a volunteer teacher at Vacation Bible School for her church, the Prestonwood Baptist Church in Little Elm. She is a young leader for the church, helping to watch children and teach them.

Sydnie Ozanus has kept her education and her community in full view throughout her life. Earning a good GPA in college is only part of her goals. She also wants to be more active in college life, develop new skills and ways of thinking, and help people as much as possible while attending Texas Tech University. Eventually, she plans on moving on to medical school and fulfilling her dream of being a doctor.

Sydnie Ozanus will build on her success at Texas Tech as she moves on by continuing to succeed in the classroom while never forgetting her community and why she wants to be a doctor in the first place. She hopes to help as many people who need it around the world as possible. She has traveled to many places to work as a missionary and to experience how other people live. The lives of others fascinate her and cause her to work hard in school so she can help others and be a part of their lives.
