CELEBRATES 50 YEARS AT THE BAR

Frederick, MD --- Seymour Stern has seen Frederick grow from a small town to a thriving entrepreneurial center, where established businesses have been thriving and new businesses have found a community that is conducive to their growth. And for many owners of those businesses, Mr. Stern has served as an essential legal counsel.

“I grew up in Frederick, went to high school here, married and raised a family here,” said Mr. Stern. “I’ve seen Frederick undergo significant changes over the last 50 years, and my practice has kept pace with those changes, providing legal services to old and new businesses alike”.

In 1963, as a young lawyer, Mr. Stern introduced himself to the Frederick business community and announced that he was ready to practice law on their behalf. He immediately joined the Frederick County Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, of which he is still a member. He also was active in the American Bar Association for a number of years.. One of his prized achievements was serving as president of the Maryland State Bar Association during 1990-1991. He also served as president of the Frederick County Bar Association.

Earlier this year, Mr. Stern merged his firm, Seymour B. Stern & Associates, with the Mid-Atlantic based law firm of Offit Kurman. At that time, Ted Offit, managing principal of Offit Kurman, commented: “Mr. Stern is one of the foremost attorneys of Frederick. He has a superb reputation based upon his long association with Frederick’s business community, his participation in numerous civic organizations, and his reputation for providing the highest level of ethical services.”
