Pune: Hyderabad-based Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCC) has taken delivery of two high-end flat-top tower cranes manufactured by Zoomlion ElectroMech India Pvt. Ltd (ZEIPL) for construction of one of country’s largest cooling towers. Two TCT7527-20 cranes have been erected at a 1320 MW coal-based thermal power plant at Nellore for construction of two 170 m tall Natural Draught Cooling Towers (NDCT).

These two TCT7527-20 cranes specially designed for cooling tower applications, comes with lifting capacity of 20 t and tip load of 2.7 MT at the 75m jib end, or 3.2 MT at the 70m jib end thus helping in reducing downtime and improving efficiency. Further, once the project is completed the crane can be dismantled in one section at a time. This being the biggest advantage considering the fact that a 75m jib needs to be dismantled, whereas the top opening of the cooling tower in which the crane will be standing is 78m in diameter.

Further, Zoomlion Electromech is imparting on-site training along with a consumables spare stock to guarantee crane performance and develop customer specialty. “We appreciate that Zoomlion has also provided on-site training to strengthen our capability along with spare stock of consumables to guarantee crane performance,” expresses Madhu.
