Sukarman Sukamto does not believe this is permissible in the world of international business. Sukamto Sia has prized honesty as a primary trait of a proper businessman for decades. For all of his employees and business partners, Sukarman Sukamto makes an effort to ensure that they are completely honest with him and every one else they work with, a trait which he prizes highly in those he deals with.

Asked about how important honesty was to the success he has had as a businessman, Sukarman Sukamto replied, "I became very successful during a time where it was acceptable to not tell the full truth about something in the international business world. I never wanted to be that kind of businessman and I made an effort to be honest and open about everything at all times. For this I earned a great deal of respect as my successes grew."
