Victoria, BC - The BC College of Social Workers has recently announced Carla Leuschen, owner and counsellor at Strength in Heart Counselling has received her certification as a fully qualified social worker. During the spring convocation ceremony held at the University of Victoria Carla was awarded her Masters In Social Work.

Carla’s chosen career for the past 12 years has given her the opportunity to experience several different areas of mental health. While originally her interest was directed towards studying mental health issues she soon came to the realization that her focus had evolved. It was through this experience Carla became aware that she could make a difference through a more personal approach to the mental well being of people. Strength in Heart believes in a holistic ( mental, physical & emotional ) approach to therapy by treating a person as a whole. The philosophy that negative events have the power to become blocked and lead to dissatisfaction and even dis-ease is the reasoning behind the holistic approach by treating a person as a whole.
